Ada Calhoun is an American writer known for St. Marks Is Dead, a history of St. Mark's Place in the East Village, and Also a Poet, a memoir about her father and the poet Frank O'Hara. She has also written Wedding Toasts I'll Never Give, a collection of essays about marriage, and Why We Can't Sleep, a book about midlife for Generation X women. Her novel Crush follows a marriage that tries opening itself to desires outside the couple, and she has worked as a critic, reporter and freelance essayist, collaborating on the 2023 Britney Spears memoir The Woman in Me.
