Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you choose to provide (such as a display name). Authentication is handled by Clerk — we never store or have access to your password.
Reading Activity
We store the reading data you enter, including books you've read or are reading, reading sessions (start/end times and duration), reading goals, challenge participation, and book ratings or reviews. This data is the core of the Readstead experience.
Device & Usage Information
We may automatically collect basic technical information such as device type and operating system version, app version, crash reports and error logs, and general usage patterns (e.g., features accessed). This information helps us diagnose issues and improve the app.
How We Use Your Information
- Provide and operate the Readstead service
- Personalize your reading habit tracking and insights
- Send account-related emails (e.g., password reset)
- Diagnose bugs and improve app performance

Readstead is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
