Agnes Ravatn is a Norwegian novelist, columnist and journalist, born in 1983 in Ølen Municipality. She debuted in 2007 with the novel Veke 53, and is best known for The Bird Tribunal, her 2013 novel published in eleven countries and adapted for the theatre. Her other books include the essay collection Stillstand and the autobiographical Verda er ein skandale, written after she moved to a small farm in Valevåg. She has also written a column for the Nynorsk newspaper Dag og Tid.
