Alice Hoffman

Alice Hoffman is an American novelist who also writes young-adult and children's books. She is best known for Practical Magic, a 1995 novel adapted into a 1998 film of the same name, which grew into a wider media franchise. Much of her work falls into magic realism, with elements of magic, irony, and unconventional romance, as in The Dovekeepers, The Museum of Extraordinary Things, and The Witches of Cambridge.
