Amanda Gorman is an American poet and activist whose work turns to oppression, race, feminism, and marginalization, as well as the African diaspora. She was the first person named National Youth Poet Laureate, and she rose to fame after writing and delivering "The Hill We Climb" at Joe Biden's 2021 inauguration.
