André Alexis

André Alexis is a Canadian writer, born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, who grew up in Ottawa and now lives in Toronto. He is best known for the Quincunx Cycle, a series of five novels set in and around Southern Ontario, and for Fifteen Dogs, the second book in that cycle, which won the 2015 Giller Prize. His other fiction includes Pastoral, a work of literary fiction.
