Andrew Clements (1949–2019) was an American author of children's literature, whose books include the contemporary fiction titles Lunch Money, No Talking, The Report Card, and The Losers Club. His debut novel, Frindle, won an award decided by a vote of U.S. schoolchildren in about 20 states, and in 2016 it was named the Phoenix Award winner as the best book that did not win a major award when published. He also wrote Lost and Found, The Landry News, The Janitor's Boy, and the magical realism story Things Not Seen.
