Andy Weir

Andy Weir is an American novelist who worked as a software engineer until The Martian, his first published novel, let him write full time. That science fiction adventure was adapted into the 2015 film of the same name, and he received the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer in 2016. His later novel Project Hail Mary was a finalist for the 2022 Hugo Award for Best Novel. A lifelong space enthusiast who lives in California, he also wrote Artemis and the short fiction piece Annie's Day.
