Angélica Gorodischer

Angélica Gorodischer was an Argentine writer, born in 1928 and died in 2022, known for short stories and novels that cross science fiction, fantasy, crime, and feminist perspectives. Her Kalpa Imperial is a magical realist book about emperors, storytellers, and thieves whose tales multiply at court, and Trafalgar is a historical book set in wartime. The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction places Gorodischer's work nearer to Borges and Calvino than to Magic Realism.
