Aristotle was an ancient Greek philosopher and polymath, born in Stagira around 384 BC, whose writings range across natural science, politics, ethics, psychology and the arts. His works include The Nicomachean Ethics, a study of what makes a good life and how virtue relates to happiness, along with Politics, Metaphysics and Poetics. He founded the Peripatetic school in the Lyceum in Athens, later tutored Alexander the Great, and his systematic work on logic shaped scholarship for centuries.
