Basil Copper's novels are noir-tinged detective fiction in the Mike Faraday Mystery series. Night Frost, the second book, follows the private investigator through a wintry case where hidden motives and mounting danger sit beneath an ordinary surface, told in a brooding, suspenseful style. No Flowers for the General is the third Faraday mystery, carrying the series on in the same detective and noir territory.
