Brit Bennett

Brit Bennett is an American writer based in Los Angeles, best known for two novels: The Mothers (2016), a coming-of-age story, and The Vanishing Half (2020), which follows identical twin sisters whose lives split apart after they leave their small Southern hometown. Both books were New York Times best-sellers, and The Vanishing Half was named one of the Times' ten best books of 2020. It was also shortlisted for the 2021 Women's Prize for Fiction.
