Bruce Schneier is an American cryptographer, computer security professional, privacy specialist, and writer. His books include Applied Cryptography, which covers cryptographic protocols and algorithms with source code in C, and Liars and Outliers, a book about how trust holds societies together. He is an adjunct lecturer in public policy at Harvard Kennedy School and sits on the boards of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Access Now, and The Tor Project.
