Carl Gustav Jung, C.G. Jung on the books, was a Swiss psychiatrist who founded analytical psychology. He is best known for his concept of archetypes, and he wrote more than twenty books, among them Man and His Symbols, a work on dreams and the unconscious that he completed shortly before his death, and the memoir Memories, Dreams, Reflections. Jung worked at the Burghölzli hospital in Zurich and was a friend and correspondent of Freud before the two parted ways.
