Candace Bushnell

Candace Bushnell is an American author, journalist, and television producer known for contemporary fiction and satire, including Four Blondes, Trading Up, and One Fifth Avenue. Her column for The New York Observer, written from 1994 to 1996, became the Sex and the City anthology, which was the basis for the HBO series. Her later novels include Lipstick Jungle and the Carrie Diaries books, and both Lipstick Jungle and The Carrie Diaries were adapted for television.
