Carolyn Keene

The books under the name Carolyn Keene are Nancy Drew mysteries, a series of detective fiction that opens with The Secret of the Old Clock and continues with The Hidden Staircase. Each case follows Nancy as she pieces together clues in old houses and small towns. The Witch Tree Symbol, the thirty-third volume, adds a touch of gothic folklore and eerie woods to the formula.
