Cathy Glass is a pen name, used by a British writer of non-fiction and 'inspirational' fiction who chose it because of the sensitive nature of her source material. Her memoirs draw on her experiences fostering children, many of whom had suffered abuse, and she has published 28 of them. Among her books are The Child Bride, about a fourteen-year-old girl who turns to foster care to escape her family, and Damaged, the story of a neglected child.
