Clamp

Clamp is an all-female Japanese manga artist group, led by writer Nanase Ohkawa, who was born in Osaka, with three artists born in Kyoto whose roles shift from series to series. The group began in the mid-1980s as a twelve-member group making self-published fan works, and made its mainstream debut with RG Veda in 1989. Notable works include X, Magic Knight Rayearth, Cardcaptor Sakura and its sequel Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, Chobits, xxxHolic, and Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle. Many of their series share characters and cross-reference one another.
