Corrie ten Boom was a Dutch watchmaker who became a Christian writer and public speaker. She is best known for The Hiding Place, her autobiography about how she and her family hid Jewish people from the Nazis during the Holocaust. Working with her father, Casper, and her sister Betsie, she helped many Jewish people escape until she was arrested and sent to the Ravensbrück concentration camp. Her other book, Tramp for the Lord, recounts her travels and the faith she carried with her.
