Daniel James Brown

Daniel James Brown is an American author of narrative nonfiction, born in 1951, who has also worked as a technical writer and editor. Among his books are The Boys in the Boat, which follows nine Americans on their quest for gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, along with Facing the Mountain and The Indifferent Stars Above. Brown's work centers on American history, a theme running through each of these titles.
