Dave Pelzer

Pelzer is an American author of autobiographical and self-help books. He is best known for A Child Called "It", his 1995 memoir of childhood abuse, which was listed on The New York Times Best Seller list for several years and sold at least 1.6 million copies in five years. The memoir opened a series that continues with The Lost Boy and A Man Named Dave. Family members and journalists have accused Pelzer of fabricating several events in the book.
