David Lynch, who died in January 2025, was an American filmmaker and artist best known for surrealist films including Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, and Mulholland Drive, and for co-creating the television series Twin Peaks with Mark Frost. His books move closer to the person behind the work: Catching the Big Fish looks at creativity, consciousness, and the Transcendental Meditation practice he followed for much of his life, while Lynch on Lynch, part of the Directors on Directors series, is a collection of essays and journalism.
