Dean Karnazes

Dean Karnazes is an American ultramarathon runner who writes memoir and travel books about running, beginning with Ultramarathon Man: Confessions of an All-Night Runner, which describes ultra-endurance running for general readers. His other books include A Runner's High, 50/50, and The Road to Sparta, which mixes travel writing with ancient history. Born in 1962, Karnazes writes about the long-distance miles that have defined his work.
