Dusti Bowling's books are contemporary fiction. Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus is a coming-of-age novel, while 24 Hours in Nowhere plays out over one day among a group of characters, blending suspense with questions of identity and belonging. Both are character-driven stories.
