Eliza Lynn Linton

Eliza Lynn Linton (1822–1898) wrote more than twenty novels, including Patricia Kemball, Sowing the Wind, and The True History of Joshua Davidson. She was the first female salaried journalist in Britain, and her essays often took a strongly anti-feminist line despite her own independent working life. Her books range from fiction such as The World Well Lost to nonfiction such as The Autobiography of Christopher Kirkland.
