Eric Weiner is an American author and public speaker, best known for The Geography of Bliss, Man Seeks God, The Geography of Genius and The Socrates Express. The Socrates Express follows a train journey through places tied to philosophers, from Socrates to Simone de Beauvoir. Weiner is a former foreign correspondent for NPR, having spent a decade overseas in New Delhi, Jerusalem and Tokyo, and he also writes articles on travel and culture.
