F. Scott Fitzgerald was an American novelist and short story writer, best known for novels about the Jazz Age, a term he popularized in his collection Tales of the Jazz Age. His four novels include This Side of Paradise, The Beautiful and Damned, The Great Gatsby and Tender Is the Night, and he also wrote stories such as Babylon Revisited. He struggled with alcoholism and money, and he died in 1940 at age 44, before critics came to value his work.
