Francis Ray (1944–2013) was a New York Times and USA Today bestselling African-American writer of romance novels, known for the Taggart and Falcon, Invincible Women, and Grayson series, including the Grayson Family of New Mexico and Grayson Friends books. She lived in Dallas, Texas. Her titles include I Know Who Holds Tomorrow, a contemporary romance about a marriage under strain, and Rosie's Curl and Weave, along with Living Large, a short-story collection she shared with Donna Hill, Rochelle Alers, and Brenda Jackson.
