Gail Damerow is an American author and poultry expert who writes about raising farm animals. Born in Colorado, she moved through several states, including Alaska and California, before settling on a Tennessee farm with her husband in 1982. Her books include Barnyard in Your Backyard, a guide to keeping chickens, ducks, goats, and other small livestock, and The Backyard Homestead Guide To Raising Farm Animals. She has also written magazine pieces and books about agriculture and farming across several decades.
