George S. Schuyler

George Samuel Schuyler (1895–1977) was an American journalist and satirist, best known for the 1931 satirical novel Black No More, which mocks racial purity and white supremacy. He was also a columnist and critic, and his science fiction novel Black Empire follows a Black scientist's bid for racial liberation. Schuyler grew more politically conservative over the decades and died in relative obscurity.
