Guillermo Del Toro

Guillermo del Toro is a Mexican filmmaker and actor whose work, from Cronos to Pan's Labyrinth, is tied to fairy tales, gothic horror and dark fantasy. He also writes books, most notably The Strain trilogy of supernatural horror novels, co-written with Chuck Hogan: The Strain, The Fall and The Night Eternal. Born in 1964, del Toro has had a lifelong fascination with monsters, which he considers symbols of great power.
