Jacqueline Carey is an American writer, primarily of fantasy fiction, born in 1964. She is best known for the Kushiel's Legacy series, which begins with Kushiel's Dart and runs through Kushiel's Chosen, Kushiel's Avatar and Kushiel's Scion.
