James Frey

James Frey is an American writer whose first two books, A Million Little Pieces (2003) and My Friend Leonard (2005), were marketed as memoirs and became bestsellers, though large parts of both were later found to be exaggerated or fabricated. His novels include Bright Shiny Morning (2008), also a bestseller, and the young adult series The Lorien Legacies, which he co-wrote under the collective pen name Pittacus Lore. He is the founder and CEO of Full Fathom Five, the transmedia company behind that series.
