James Rollins

James Rollins is the pen name of James Paul Czajkowski, an American veterinarian born in 1961. Under this name Rollins writes action-adventure and techno-thriller novels, including the Sigma Force series with Sandstorm, Map of Bones and The Judas Strain. Many of the books, such as Subterranean and Deep Fathom, are set underground or underwater, drawing on Rollins' experience as an amateur spelunker and certified scuba diver. Rollins gave up a veterinary practice in Sacramento, California to write full time.
