Jackson is a vice-president and executive editor at Alfred A. Knopf, and she writes contemporary fiction. Her first novel, Pineapple Street, came out in 2023 and follows a wealthy family in Brooklyn and the outsider who marries into it. She has also written the nonfiction self-help book The Shampoo Effect.
