John Lister-Kaye is an English naturalist, conservationist and author who has lived in the Scottish Highlands since 1969. He owns and directs the Aigas Field Centre there, and his books include Footprints in the Woods: The Secret Life of Forest and Riverbank, which follows the signs left by plants, animals and water as they feed, shelter and move through woodland and riverside. He also wrote Gods of the Morning: A Bird's-Eye View of a Changing World. He is married with four children.
