Jon Lee Anderson is an American journalist and war correspondent who has been a staff writer for The New Yorker. His reporting has taken him to Afghanistan, Iraq, Uganda, El Salvador, and across the Middle East, and he has also profiled political leaders such as Hugo Chávez and Fidel Castro. His books include Che and Che Guevara: A Revolutionary Life, a biography that traces Guevara's early formation and rise onto the world stage.
