Joseph Heller

Joseph Heller was an American novelist, short story writer, playwright and screenwriter. He was best known for Catch-22, his 1961 debut, a satire of war and bureaucracy whose title has become a synonym for an absurd or contradictory choice. Closing Time continues the story as its sequel. Heller was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1972 and again in 1975.
