Joseph Patrick Henrich's books are popular science nonfiction. The Secret of Our Success asks why humans have done so well as a species, and answers that culture does the work: people learn from one another, and knowledge builds up and improves across generations. Evolutionary theory and real-world examples carry the argument. The WEIRDest People in the World follows in the same popular science vein.
