Judith Krantz (1928–2019) was an American magazine writer, fashion editor, and novelist. Her first novel, Scruples, set in the high-fashion world of Beverly Hills, was a New York Times best-seller and helped define the bonkbuster, or "sex-and-shopping" novel. She followed it with Princess Daisy and Till We Meet Again, and with Mistral's Daughter, which follows three generations of women connected to the artist Julien Mistral. Her autobiography, Sex and Shopping: The Confessions of a Nice Jewish Girl, came out in 2000.
