Julie Buxbaum is an American lawyer and novelist who specializes in young adult fiction. Her first two novels, beginning with the 2009 debut The Opposite of Love, were written for adults. Her later books include the coming-of-age novel What to Say Next and the romance Tell Me Three Things, and several take up topical events, like Admission, whose hero is embarrassed by a college bribery scandal. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. at Harvard Law School.
