Julie Leong's books are fiction with magic running through them. The Keeper of Magical Things is a fantasy about Certainty Bulrush, taken in by the Guild of Mages and eager to be useful despite underwhelming magic, who is paired with the overachieving Mage Aurelia to sort minor artifacts in a very dull village. The Teller of Small Fortunes moves to contemporary fiction with magical realism.
