Kristin Kobes Du Mez is an American historian and professor of history and gender studies at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her books include Jesus and John Wayne, a history of how ideals of rugged, militant masculinity took hold in white American evangelicalism and shaped its churches, institutions, and politics across roughly the past seventy-five years, and Live Laugh Love, a social history.
