Matthew Tobin Anderson, born in 1968, writes under the name M. T. Anderson and is best known for The Pox Party, the first of two Octavian Nothing novels set in Revolution-era Boston, which won the National Book Award for Young People's Literature in 2006. His children's books run from picture books to young adult novels and include Feed, a satirical science fiction story about people wired to the internet. Known for wit and sarcasm, he has argued that young adults can grasp mature ideas.
