Marshall B. Rosenberg was an American psychologist, mediator and teacher who began developing nonviolent communication, a way of expressing needs and resolving conflict, in the early 1960s. He worked as a peacemaker around the world and in 1984 founded the Center for Nonviolent Communication. His books under the name Marshall B. Rosenberg include Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life, a practical guide to listening deeply and resolving conflict without blame. He died in 2015.
