Mary Lawson

Mary Lawson is a Canadian novelist, born in 1946. She is best known for Crow Lake (2002), an award-winning literary novel with coming-of-age themes, and her novels The Other Side of the Bridge and A Town Called Solace were both longlisted for the Booker Prize. A Town Called Solace is also literary fiction, and Lawson's work is typically set in small communities and focused on ordinary lives.
