Maxie Dara's books are mystery fiction with a supernatural premise, including A Grim Reaper's Guide to Cheating Death and A Grim Reaper's Guide to Catching a Killer. The first follows Nora Bird, a woman terrified of dying who ends up working for a company of grim reapers, then runs to save her estranged twin brother when his name turns up on a death file.
