Michael Moorcock

Michael Moorcock is an English writer who began with science fiction and fantasy and has since written literary novels, comic thrillers and graphic novels. He is best known for his Elric books, including Elric of Melniboné and Stormbringer, which follow a frail emperor of a dying realm. From 1964 to 1971, and again from 1976 to 1996, he edited the magazine New Worlds, which helped bring the British science fiction New Wave into being.
