Nassim Nicholas Taleb is a Lebanese-American essayist, former options trader and New York University professor whose writing concerns randomness, probability and uncertainty. He is best known for Incerto, a five-volume work published between 2001 and 2018 that includes The Black Swan and Antifragile, the latter arguing that some systems benefit from disorder rather than merely surviving it. Fooled by Randomness and Skin in the Game take up the same questions about chance, risk and hidden asymmetries in markets and everyday life.
