Natalie Baszile is a pen name, and the books published under it are by an American writer. Baszile's debut novel, Queen Sugar, was published by Penguin in 2014 and follows Charley Bordelon, a young widow from Los Angeles who moves to rural Louisiana to run a sugarcane farm she inherited from her father. Baszile also wrote We Are Each Other's Harvest, a nonfiction book about African American farmers, land, and legacy.
